For almost 10 years, I have heard people talk about the pills that they take or the surgeries they had as if it was a badge of honor. I have seen people identify themselves by the treatments and drugs they take. What amazes me everyday is that as a whole our society believes that this is normal and that our body is set up for failure. Is it just attention or ignorance? Are we so brainwashed into believing that God designed our bodies to be hunks of junk waiting for common man to fix it? I come from the the school of the power that made the body can heal the body if we allow it. I am telling you that we need to step up and take responsibility for our health. If you don't exercise, eat right, and do regular maintenance, you have no right to blame the body for failure.
The decisions you make everyday and I mean everyday lead you down a road to health or disease. I see people spend more time and effort maintaining their car than their own body and the excuse is that the car is a huge investment. There is no BIGGER investment than your own body. You can always buy a new car you can never get a new body (you can not put a price on health). In this country, we spend if you average it out $3100 per person every year on disease care. This is because we do not do anything to our bodies until we are sick or in pain this is like not changing the oil in your car until the engine blows. Our bodies are resilient but after 20 to 30 years of abuse it will not hold up that is why I encourage everyone to make smart decisions with food and exercise everyday.
I know what you are going to say I don't have the time to eat right because of work or exercise because of the kids sports or go to the chiropractor because of our schedules don't match up. I am here to tell you that if you don't make time then your body will force you to react to the disease that has been brewing from years of abuse.
I care about every single person that comes in to see me and for the ones that are yet to see me. My hopes and dreams are to see masses of people free from diseases and preventable surgeries, but if we don't start changing our ways then the cost of health care (disease maintenance) will sky rocket.
